We were asked to carry out a refurbishment together with a new rear addition to this handsome Georgian Grade 2* Listed Building. Negotiations with English Heritage, including an Appeal were required to undertake the alterations. The ground and first floor rooms were generally restored to the original footprint, whilst the basement garden floor was opened up to form a kitchen family room.
The single storey rear addition was demolished and replaced with a larger two storey addition to form a wet room and ground floor study. Simplicity in the kitchen and bathroom designs together with a careful selection of parts gives balance to the historic building. The ground floor drawing rooms were restored including a mix of traditional and contemporary furniture styles.
